Job summary
Placements24 seeks a skilled Civil Engineer in Benoni to lead transportation and road infrastructure initiatives within Gauteng. You will plan, design, and implement road networks and mobility solutions, coordinating with planners, engineers and construction teams to deliver projects on schedule.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, is a registered Pr Eng with ECSA, and has 6+ years in transport engineering and road design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering and road design.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
- Proficiency in road design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MX Road, or similar.
- Experience with traffic modeling software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of road construction materials and methods.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop road alignments, intersection layouts, and pavement structures.
- Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and traffic control planning.
- Prepare geometric design reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Manage the tendering process and administer construction contracts for road projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant road design standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with urban planners, traffic engineers, and construction teams.
