Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer in Benoni to lead civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure quality, budget, and schedule adherence.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong contract administration and project management capabilities. A professional registration with ECSA or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management for civil infrastructure.
• Experience with contract administration, tendering processes, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional registration with ECSA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, and execution of civil infrastructure projects (roads, water, sanitation).
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and work plans; track progress and resources.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, consultants, and site personnel for quality and compliance.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure engineering standards and safety regulation compliance.
• Manage project documentation: contracts, permits, progress reports, financial records.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for project delivery.
