Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead major infrastructure projects in the Upington region. You will oversee planning, design and delivery of transportation networks, water and sanitation works, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

You will manage diverse project teams, coordinate with authorities and clients, and drive innovation while mentoring junior engineers. Travel to sites as required to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Pr. Eng registration is mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive civil infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design and execution of major civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage project teams of engineers, technicians and staff.
• Develop scope, budgets, schedules and resource plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with SANS codes, regulations and environmental standards.
• Oversee procurement, tenders and contract administration.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development.
