Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role focuses on leading design, planning and oversight of civil projects including roads, drainage, and earthworks, with hybrid site and design work.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Pr. Eng with ECSA and 10+ years of relevant experience, proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and PDS, and capable of managing projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• ECSA Pr.Eng registration essential.
• 10+ years progressive civil engineering design and project management experience.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, PDS and SA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of civil engineering projects (roads, drainage, earthworks).
• Perform detailed engineering calculations, analysis and modelling.
• Prepare technical specs, drawings and contract documents.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys and feasibility studies.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and environmental regs.
• Oversee construction phases and quality control.
• Prepare progress reports and final project documentation.
