Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee diverse civil infrastructure projects around Polokwane. You will lead all on-site activities, coordinate labor and subcontractors, and liaise with engineers and clients to ensure timely, on-budget delivery with top-quality and safety standards.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 10 years’ experience leading large-scale sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in construction management, with civil infrastructure focus.
• Proven track record managing large-scale sites and complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and SA building regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage on-site construction activities per schedule, budget, and specs.
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor.
• Enforce strict health and safety protocols with regular inspections.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage site logistics, equipment, and material procurement for smooth flow.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, clients, and regulators.
