Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee major civil infrastructure projects around Vereeniging. You will lead site mobilization, allocate resources, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-time, within-budget delivery for Gauteng’s key infrastructure.

The role requires 10+ years in civil PM, strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and proven ability to manage large-scale projects with complex contracts. A company vehicle and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management with civil infrastructure.
• Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding R50 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all construction project aspects including scheduling, budgeting and resources.
• Oversee site operations ensuring safety, quality and specifications.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects and subcontractors for clear communication.
• Control costs, administer contracts and approve payments to contractors and suppliers.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions; lead progress meetings.
