Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to lead design, optimization, and deployment of advanced chemical processes on a fully remote team. You will drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability across global operations, mentoring engineers and coordinating with international teams.

The role demands a Master’s (or PhD) in Chemical Engineering and 8+ years in process design, with strong skills in simulation, P&ID development, and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years in chemical process design and optimization.
• Expertise in process simulation, modeling, and data analysis.
• Deep understanding of unit operations, reaction engineering, and process control.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of new chemical processes and technologies.
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, yield, and cost.
• Conduct PHAs and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specs.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee scale-up from lab/pilot to full production and ensure integration.
