Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Chemical Engineer to drive remote operations, design and optimize chemical processes, and mentor a distributed team. You will set technical standards and oversee projects from conception to completion in a virtual environment.

The role demands 10+ years in chemical process engineering with a strong leadership track record, expertise in process simulations, statistics, and PM tools, plus deep plant operations knowledge and safety/regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
10+ years of chemical process engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex chemical engineering projects.
Expertise in process simulation software, statistical analysis, and project management tools.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills tailored for remote team management.
Deep understanding of chemical plant operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and optimization of chemical processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
Oversee the technical aspects of projects from conception through to implementation, managing timelines and resources remotely.
Mentor and guide a team of chemical engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and HAZOP studies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and project management, to achieve project goals.
Troubleshoot complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement robust, long-term solutions.
