Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Engineer to oversee production operations at their Centurion facility. You will lead a team of engineers and operators to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant chemical manufacturing, driving troubleshooting and process improvements.

Responsibilities include guiding daily production, implementing cost-saving and waste-reduction strategies, ensuring adherence to EHS regulations, collaborating with R&D for new product introductions, and

Qualifications

• Chemical Engineering degree required with strong academic record.
• Over 8 years experience in chemical manufacturing and production management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical plant operations, process control systems and safety procedures.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is advantageous.
• Excellent decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production process issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of chemical engineers and operators.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering departments on new product introductions and process modifications.
