Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a Senior Administrator in Johannesburg to support the CDD function for onboarding new clients and investors. The role involves drafting CDD processes, guiding the team across Johannesburg and Jersey, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

You will monitor CDD activities, escalate high-risk matters, train business teams, and contribute to updating the CDD manual in line with regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Compliance / AML/CFT roles within a regulated financial services business (3–5 years) preferred.
• Willingness to work towards a relevant compliance qualification as determined by Apex.
• Knowledge of Jersey financial regulations and AML/CFT framework.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Manager to draft CDD processes and guidance for onboarding of clients and investors.
• Manage CDD team in Johannesburg and Jersey offices to ensure policy adherence.
• Allocate work to CDD team and meet deadlines.
• Coordinate onboarding and CDD with business teams to ensure timely completion.
• Escalate high-risk matters per AML/CFT procedures.
• Provide training to business teams and coach junior staff.
• Update CDD manual for legislative changes.
• Communicate CDD process changes to business teams.
