Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Business Analyst for a leading financial services institution in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role bridges business needs and IT solutions, requiring extensive analysis, documentation, and validation of complex requirements to deliver measurable value.

You will elicit requirements from diverse stakeholders, develop functional specs and user stories, facilitate workshops, and guide the project through UAT, change control, and delivery, ensuring alignment with

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of BA experience in financial services.
• Proficiency in UML, BPMN, user stories and use cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management.
• Knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Create functional specs, user stories, and process flows for IT solutions.
• Perform gap analysis between current and future processes.
• Facilitate workshops with business users and tech teams.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for development.
• Validate requirements with stakeholders and obtain buy-in.
• Support UAT by defining test scenarios.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Manage requirement changes through the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to project planning and risk assessment.
• Interface between business and IT teams.
• Stay updated on BA best practices.
