Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to focus on financial systems within a dynamic financial institution. The role is hybrid with on-site requirements in Mahikeng, North West, balancing business needs with technology solutions across departments.

You will elicit and translate requirements, define system enhancements, and drive implementation of financial applications while managing multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on financial systems and processes.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (UML, BPMN).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in hybrid environments; knowledge of Agile/Scrum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for financial systems and processes.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and vendors to design and implement system solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
• Develop process flows, use cases, and other documentation to support system design and implementation.
• Manage the testing process, including UAT, to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Provide support during system deployment and post-implementation phases.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
• Act as a liaison between business users and the IT department.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in financial systems and business analysis.
