Placements24 is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Pretoria to lead the design and oversight of major bridge projects across Gauteng. The role offers hybrid flexibility, focusing on safety, durability, and cost efficiency while guiding a skilled team.

You will manage conceptual to detailed design, provide construction supervision, and liaise with clients and authorities. A strong track record and leadership in bridge projects are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA registration is essential.
• At least 8 years' bridge engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of bridge design, materials, and construction techniques.
• Experience with bridge inspection and rehabilitation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of bridge projects across Gauteng.
• Oversee construction activities and ensure adherence to specs.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor junior bridge engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and other disciplines.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
