You will conceptualize, design, and supervise pedestrian walkways through major highway overpasses, collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure sound, code-compliant, and aesthetically pleasing structures.

This role supports a hybrid work setup in KwaZulu-Natal. You will work on a range of projects, perform advanced modeling, develop drawings and specifications, and oversee

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or MEng in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge design and related infrastructure.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA is essential.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
• Thorough knowledge of bridge design principles, materials, and construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of various bridge types, including concrete, steel, and composite structures.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and modeling using state-of-the-art software.
• Develop detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for bridge construction.
• Conduct site inspections and provide engineering support during construction.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., SANS).
• Review designs prepared by other team members and provide feedback.
