Job summary

AECOM in Cape Town seeks an experienced BIM Lead Verifier to model and coordinate complex building structures using Revit and Navisworks. You will ensure compliance with BIM standards, mentor junior staff, and drive QA/QC across multiple projects.

The role requires a strong background in Civil/Structural BIM, 12+ years in concrete/steel modelling, and a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions within a Hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• BIM Qualification / Diploma / bachelor’s degree in civil / structural engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of main BIM standards, processes and approaches.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience drawing/modelling concrete and steel structures.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Revit modelling.

Responsibilities

• Model and produce drawings with limited supervision in the structural discipline.
• Act as BIM Lead Verifier and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan and standards.
• Coordinate project BIM models and deliverables to meet client requirements and industry standards.
• Check completeness and accuracy of work before review by senior staff.
• Initiate coordination strategy using Navisworks and other tools.
• Support the team through the delivery phase and manage BIM submissions.
• Guide junior staff and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Keep abreast of latest software/techniques to increase productivity.
• Initiate and manage projects in BIM360 and contribute to global initiatives.
