Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior BIM Modeller – Mechanical for Data Centers in Cape Town. You will perform BIM tasks across HVAC, Wet Services, Process and Fire using Revit, and coordinate within Autodesk BIM360/ACC. You will conduct self-checks, QA/QC, and uphold modelling standards while developing content.

Collaborating with the BIM Manager and teams, you’ll manage multiple projects, maintain filing systems, and continuously update skills, ensuring precision and best practices across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Building services using Revit.
• 3+ years of experience in a BIM environment.
• Preferred certification in Revit.
• General understanding of integrated architectural and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute BIM tasks across Mechanical Building Services including HVAC, Wet Services, Process, and Fire.
• Demonstrate expertise in Revit modelling.
• Conduct self-checks and clash avoidance.
• Operate on BIM360 or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Collaborate with the BIM Manager to develop content and ensure adherence to standards.
• Conduct thorough Level 3 QA/QC checks on discipline models.
• Work autonomously, manage time, and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.
• Interpret and comprehend construction documents proficiently.
• Adhere to project BIM Execution Plan and defined standards.
• Maintain and follow filing systems; develop components of the information model.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and coordinate with other disciplines.
