Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior BIM specialist in the Western Cape to lead and coordinate complex building information models (BIM). You will verify, manage, and optimize BIM content, ensuring adherence to BEP, standards, and project requirements while guiding junior staff and coordinating across disciplines.

The role demands strong Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 proficiency and experience with Dynamo/Grasshopper/Python. Hybrid work arrangement and global digital initiatives are offered.

Qualifications

• Lead BIM verification and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan.
• Coordinate BIM models and deliverables to client standards.
• Check completeness and accuracy before Senior Engineer review.
• Initiate coordination strategy using Navisworks and other tools.
• Develop documentation to support BIM solutions.
• Gatekeeper of all model and drawing information.

Responsibilities

• Act as BIM Lead Verifier and author and ensures compliance with BIM Execution plan and BIM standards.
• Proactively checks and coordinates project BIM models and deliverables to ensure they meet Client requirements and Industry Standards and project BIM Execution Plan.
• Independently checks the completeness & accuracy of work created by the team before review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member.
• Initiates coordination strategy and reporting using Navisworks and other coordination software and supports the team through the delivery phase.
• Adopts creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks, undertakes appropriate research and develops documentation to support these solutions.
• Be the gatekeeper of all in-coming and out-going model and drawing information.
