Job summary

AECOM in Cape Town is seeking a BIM Modeller – Mechanical, Data Centers to support local and global teams. You will model with Revit and related tools, handling mechanical building services with minimal supervision.

The role covers HVAC, Wet Services, Process, Fire, QA/QC, coordination, and BIM content development in line with project standards. Experience in NavisWorks for clash detection is essential, and a focus on quality and timely delivery is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Building Services utilizing Revit.
• At least 1 year of experience in a BIM environment.
• General understanding of integrated architectural and engineering practices.
• Preferred: certification in Mechanical built environment studies.
• Preferred certification in Revit.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Revit modelling across Mechanical Building Services disciplines.
• Experienced in NavisWorks with clash detection and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Performs BIM upskilling of resources.
• Assists BIM Manager with content creation and standard enforcement.
• Performs Level 3 QA/QC checks on discipline models.
• Works with minimal supervision and manages time efficiently.
• Develops BIM content based on modelling standards.
• Owns and is responsible for own work.
• Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline models.
• Collaborates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues.
