Qualifications

• Professional Architect qualification or equivalent architectural degree with BIM focus.
• Minimum 10 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years in BIM leadership/coordination.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows.
• Strong understanding of construction lifecycle and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Dynamo or visual scripting is advantageous.
• Willingness to relocate to Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement firm-wide BIM strategies, standards, and protocols.
• Lead BIM project execution plans for complex architectural projects.
• Coordinate BIM models from architectural, structural, and MEP to identify and resolve clashes.
• Provide technical leadership and training to BIM coordinators and staff.
• Oversee development of content libraries and templates for BIM software.
• Collaborate with project managers to define BIM requirements and deliverables.
• Ensure BIM is used for design documentation, visualization, and analysis.
• Stay updated on BIM technologies and recommend workflow improvements.
• Contribute to architectural design development leveraging BIM.
