Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior BIM Architect in Durban to lead BIM strategy, standards, and coordination across architectural projects. You will develop and enforce BIM workflows, manage complex Revit models, and provide training to teams to ensure high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 8+ years in architecture with a strong BIM focus, excellent leadership, and collaboration with project teams to integrate BIM into execution plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in architecture with 5+ years BIM.
• Proven BIM standards development and enforcement.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with BIM Level 2/3 concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM strategies, standards, and protocols for the practice.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with project teams and consultants to resolve clashes and ensure model integrity.
• Create and manage complex architectural models using Revit and other BIM software.
• Provide technical support and training to architects and technologists on BIM software and workflows.
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure BIM requirements are met and integrated into project execution plans.
