You will design and implement core backend services, own technical decisions, and contribute to testing, documentation, and developer experience for merchants and integration partners.

Qualifications

• Experience designing backend services for distributed systems.
• Proficiency in a backend language; Python advantageous.
• Familiarity with TDD and BDD methods.
• Strong communication and ability to work remotely in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core backend services for high-performance distributed systems.
• Own key technical decisions balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability.
• Build and optimize backend architecture to support growth.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering standards.
• Apply TDD/BDD practices where appropriate.
• Develop frameworks and tools for seamless integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet user and business needs.
• Conduct code reviews and share technical knowledge.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Improve payment workflows and developer experience for merchants.
