Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a distributed team building scalable fintech backend services and APIs. You will design, develop, and maintain robust systems with a focus on reliability, security, and low latency.

The role is fully remote, offering global collaboration with a fintech client, requiring 7+ years of experience and strong cloud and microservices expertise across Python/Go/Java ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of backend software development, with a strong focus on building scalable systems.
• Proven expertise in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js).
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems principles.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated success in remote work environments.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient backend services and APIs using languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Architect and implement solutions for high-volume data processing and real-time systems.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Develop and maintain robust database solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases).
• Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver features.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, participating actively in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic technology decisions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in backend development and distributed systems.
