Placements24 clients are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with a focus on microservices to join a remote-first engineering team. You will design, build, and scale high-performance backend services using Java, Python, or Go, and collaborate with distributed product and design teams.

You should be proficient with REST APIs, messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Strong ownership and remote-work discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of backend software development experience.
• Proven experience designing, building, deploying microservices.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend microservices.
• Build RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Ensure data persistence with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Maintain reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability in production.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with remote teams and contribute to architecture discussions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Stay current with backend technologies and patterns.
