Placements24 is partnering with a pioneering fintech startup to hire a Senior Backend Software Engineer for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices, collaborating with frontend, product, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience, proficiency in Python/Java/Go/Node.js, and solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, and Docker/Kubernetes.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong communication for remote collaboration and problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software systems and services.
• Build scalable and high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to implement features.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices.
