Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust server-side logic and scalable APIs in a fully remote, international team. You will collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to deliver high-quality backend solutions that power our platform.

The role requires 5+ years in backend development, expertise in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or C#, and experience with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud/container

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python, Java, Go, or C#).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend code with modern languages and frameworks.
• Develop and expose RESTful APIs for internal and external use.
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade existing systems and identify enhancements.
