Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer focused on backend development to join our fully remote engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems powering core applications, mentor juniors, and influence architectural decisions.

You should have 5+ years in backend, proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js, plus experience with cloud platforms and containers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in backend languages (Java, Python, Go, or Node.js).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs/microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend code using modern languages/frameworks.
• Develop and manage scalable APIs and microservices for front-end apps and internal systems.
• Optimize for speed, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Implement security and data protection in backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product, front-end, and QA to deliver high-quality software.
