Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design, develop, and scale RESTful APIs and microservices powering our platform, writing Python/Java/Go, and collaborating with frontend and product teams.

You will optimize performance, work with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and mentor juniors in a distributed environment. This role offers remote work with flexible hours and a strong development budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of backend software development experience.
• Proficient in one or more backend languages: Python, Java, Go, Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, well-documented, thoroughly tested backend code in Python/Java/Go/Node.js.
• Optimize performance, queries, and architecture for scalability and reliability.
