• 6+ years of experience in logistics coordination, aviation focus preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aviation supply chain processes and international shipping procedures.

Our client, a leading provider of aviation support services, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Aviation Logistics Coordinator to join their operations in East London, Eastern Cape. This role is crucial for managing the efficient and timely movement of aircraft parts, equipment, and materials globally. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, coordinating shipments, managing customs documentation, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations pertaining to the transport of goods. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the flow of aviation parts, materials, and equipment from procurement to delivery.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including selecting appropriate carriers and negotiating rates.
• Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of critical components while minimizing excess.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations and import/export permits.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and dangerous goods handling procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers, MROs, and internal departments to resolve logistical issues promptly.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics coordination, with a specific focus on the aviation industry.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation supply chain processes, inventory management, and international shipping procedures.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations related to the transport of parts and hazardous materials.
• Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work on-site in East London, Eastern Cape.
