Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join our team in Sandton, Gauteng. This role focuses on defining system requirements, integration strategies, and executing rigorous validation plans for powertrain, chassis, electrical, and infotainment subsystems.

The position supports a hybrid work model with on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility, and requires a deep understanding of automotive architectures and testing methodologies.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years in automotive systems engineering (integration & validation).
• Familiar with CAN, LIN, Ethernet and AUTOSAR.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Define system-level requirements and specifications for subsystems and their integration.
• Develop integration and validation test strategies and plans.
• Oversee and execute system integration activities for interconnected components.
• Design and conduct HIL, SIL, and vehicle-level tests.
• Analyze results and lead root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and test reports.
• Manage timelines and resources for system integration activities.
• Stay updated on AUTOSAR and emerging automotive technologies.
