Job summary

Wenz in Durbanville is seeking a Professional Architectural Technologist to join a growing boutique practice. You will lead design development, technical documentation and project coordination from concept through completion.

Requires SACAP registration, a National Diploma/Degree in Architectural Technology, and 3–5 years post‑registration experience. Proficiency in ArchiCAD, Twinmotion and CADDIE is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be registered as a Professional Architectural Technologist with SACAP.
• National Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology or related qualification.
• 3-5 years post-registration experience in an architectural practice.
• Proficient in ArchiCAD, Twinmotion and CADDIE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop architectural drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
• Produce detailed construction drawings and specifications per project requirements.
• Assist with design development and technical execution of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.
• Ensure all drawings comply with building regulations, SANS standards and municipal requirements.
• Coordinate project information with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and other consultants.
• Prepare documentation for municipal submissions and statutory approvals.
• Participate in project meetings and liaise with clients, contractors and consultants.
• Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions through the project lifecycle.
• Assist in resolving technical design challenges during construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and software developments.
