Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join its advanced R&D team in a remote-first role. You will develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods to support product development and quality control, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, QC and Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has a Master's or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with 5+ years' experience and hands-on HPLC/GC capabilities, plus data analysis proficiency and strong communication for remote work.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join their advanced research and development team. This role operates remotely, allowing for flexible work arrangements while contributing to critical analytical projects. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods to support product development and quality control. This position requires a deep understanding of various analytical techniques and a meticulous approach to data analysis and interpretation. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently, collaborating virtually with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest standards of analytical rigor in a remote-first setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Utilize a range of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, and FT-IR.
• Perform complex sample analysis and interpret analytical data to assess product quality and stability.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methodologies to ensure optimal performance.
• Author and review analytical method validation reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Control, and Manufacturing teams to support project goals.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably within a pharmaceutical or chemical industry setting.
• Extensive hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, and other relevant analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of method development, validation, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH guidelines).
• Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
