Placements24 seeks an Aircraft Structures Engineer for its Centurion, Gauteng operations. The hybrid role covers design, analysis, and certification of aircraft primary and secondary structures, focusing on safety, compliance with FAR/EASA standards, and robust structural integrity.

You will lead stress analyses, material selection, and collaboration with manufacturing, contributing to certification documentation and design reviews in a dynamic aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or ABAQUS.
• Familiarity with CAD software for design and modeling (CATIA, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for aircraft components and assemblies using advanced FEA software.
• Develop and validate structural test plans and procedures.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for aircraft structures.
• Interpret and apply aerospace regulations and standards to design and analysis activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure producibility and quality.
