Job summary

Fermel is seeking an experienced Aftermarket Contract Manager to oversee the Platreef Mine aftermarket contract, combining commercial oversight with hands-on technical leadership. The role involves managing SLAs, coordinating field personnel and ensuring equipment maintenance aligns with OEM specs and site requirements.

The position requires strong contract management, industrial operations experience, and a track record of improving equipment availability and reliability in underground mining.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline; alternatively, a recognised trade qualification with substantial relevant experience.
• A qualification in Business Management, Operations Management or Project Management would be advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and supervise all Fermel employees allocated to the Platreef aftermarket contract.
• Oversee the delivery of aftermarket technical support and maintenance services at Platreef Mine.
• Manage contract compliance, SLAs and performance targets; prepare reports and forecasts.
• Monitor financials, costs and profitability; oversee procurement and inventory control.
• Ensure safety, site compliance and qualification requirements are met.
