Job summary

Fermel (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Aftermarket Contract Manager to lead the commercial and operational performance of its aftermarket contract at Platreef Mine, Mokopane. Based at head office, you will be deployed to the mine as required to ensure delivery of maintenance support, spare parts availability, and strong customer relationship management.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of underground mining equipment, proven contract management experience, and the ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• A qualification in Business/Operations/Project Management would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assume overall accountability for the aftermarket contract at Platreef Mine.
• Ensure all SLAs, deliverables and performance targets are met.
• Develop and implement operational plans aligned with contractual requirements and production objectives.
• Monitor contract performance and identify operational risks with corrective actions.
• Manage contract variations and changes in scope.
• Maintain accurate records of deliverables, activities, expenditure and correspondence.
• Identify opportunities for contract renewals, extensions and additional aftermarket business.
• Oversee delivery of aftermarket technical support and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance, breakdown support and inspections.
• Collaborate with mine Engineering, Maintenance and Procurement teams.
• Prepare financial forecasts and review profitability with Finance and Aftermarket teams.
