Job summary

ALS Head Office is seeking a Senior Financial Clerk/Accountant to handle accounting duties and vendor invoice processing. The role includes matching invoices to POs/GRNs, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payments while supporting financial functions.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements for audit, assisting in cost/profit centre reports, and ensuring VAT and compliance with relevant regulations. Strong Excel and Pastel Evolution experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Honors and/or completed articles advantageous.
• 3+ years’ working experience.
• Highly proficient in Excel (advanced skill level).

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are matched against requisitions, purchase orders and goods received notes with reference to quantities, quality, description and price.
• Ensure requisitions, purchase orders and invoices are properly authorized and are in accordance with the appropriate levels of authority.
• Prepare weekly analysis of the creditors list and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
