The role covers month-end and year-end closes, audit support, policy development, and mentoring junior staff in a well-established financial institution. Strong proficiency in SAP/Oracle and Excel, plus a qualification such as CA(SA)/ACCA/CIMA, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting with strong financial reporting knowledge.
• Proficiency in SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel; thorough knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with timely reporting.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and support.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
