Job summary

Kwena Human Capital is hiring an Automation Engineer/SCADA/PTMC Engineer for a project-based contract in Postmasburg, Northern Cape. The role centers on implementing and configuring SCADA/PTMC systems for large renewable energy projects, integrating PV inverters, BESS/PCS, and plant controllers on site.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, is ECSA registered as PrEng/PrTechEng, has proven SCADA/PLC/RTU experience, and is willing to relocate to Postmasburg.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant field.
• ECSA PrEng or PrTechEng registration is required.
• Proven experience on large renewable energy projects, preferably solar.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure SCADA/PTMC systems according to engineering design.
• Configure SCADA servers, HMIs, PLCs, RTUs and interfaces.
• Integrate PV inverters, BESS/PCS and plant controllers into SCADA.
• Configure tags, alarms, trends, and control commands.
• Perform I/O and signal mapping ensuring field devices communicate properly.
