Job summary

Network Recruitment seeks a Senior Solar PV Maintenance Engineer in Johannesburg to oversee routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on solar PV systems. You will monitor plant performance via SCADA and other tools, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications include a National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in solar operations.

Qualifications

National Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 35 years experience in solar PV operations and maintenance.
Experience with SCADA systems and performance monitoring tools.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to sites.
Familiarity with electrical safety standards and OHS requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on solar PV systems.
Monitor plant performance using SCADA and other monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performance data, and spare parts inventory.
Support plant upgrades, modifications, and performance improvement initiatives.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
