Job summary

Kwena Human Capital is recruiting Site Engineers (Civil and Electrical) for a large-scale solar PV and battery storage project in the Northern Cape. The roles are project-based contracts until November 2027, with three positions available across respectively Civil and Electrical disciplines.

You will supervise site activities, review drawings, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure compliance with designs, specs, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering
• 3–5 years of site engineering/construction experience
• Experience on EPC, construction, energy, mining or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site construction activities
• Ability to work across Engineering, Construction, Quality and HSE
• Experience in solar PV, BESS, or renewable energy projects is advantageous
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities
• Monitor progress against project schedules
• Ensure works meet designs, specs, and contracts
• Plan and sequence construction activities
• Review drawings, specs, and docs
• Coordinate with design engineers on RFIs
• Verify construction aligns with designs
• Identify and resolve technical issues
• Conduct site inspections and QC checks
• Prepare regular progress reports
• Maintain daily logs and as-built records
• Comply with HSE and SA legislation
