Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Salesforce Marketing and Data Cloud Architect in Cape Town to lead marketing cloud initiatives and data architecture. The role demands hands-on expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and data modeling, with strong communication to drive campaigns and data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree, demonstrate excellence in database marketing, and provide quick, strategic recommendations to optimize email programs and customer journeys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Marketing Cloud platforms.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification required (Admin/Consultant/Developer/Email Specialist).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of database marketing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Present executive-level Salesforce platform demonstrations, and run through all features (e.g. content builder, journey builder) upon request.
• Set up and configure data models.
• Develop scalable solutions based on business objectives, marketing metrics, and tech requirements.
• Design platform configuration and data feeds to run effective automated email campaigns.
• Act as a hands-on consultant on wide-scale projects including email marketing campaigns, customer service solutions, data segmentation, customer journey, and such.
• Identify and troubleshoot platform and data feed-related issues.
• Advise teams regarding the latest tech innovations, new business initiatives, third-party solutions, and effective email templates.
• Optimize internal processes based on team requests, opportunity gaps, and business requirements.
• Communicate project initiatives to relevant stakeholders.
