Job summary

Metso is seeking a Technical Sales Support professional for the Africa Market Area. Based in Centurion with a hybrid working model and frequent travel, you will deliver technical sales support across conveyor and chute solutions, helping customers and sales teams identify and implement effective material transportation solutions.

You will report to the Head of Technical Sales Support and collaborate with regional hubs, product lines, and sales teams to drive growth and customer success in Africa.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in a technical sales environment for industrial products.
• Knowledge of conveying systems or chute solutions.
• Fluent English; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently; valid passport and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support across conveyor and chute solutions.
• Support Regional Hub teams and sales processes throughout the sales cycle.
• Assist customers with technical problem solving and application support.
• Evaluate customer claims from a technical perspective and support resolutions.
• Contribute to go-to-market activities, campaigns, and value proposition development.
• Collaborate with Product Line teams for feedback and product testing.
• Participate in sales steering meetings and provide technical insights.
• Assist with supply chain and purchasing activities through technical evaluations.
