The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a technical environment with proven sales or BD experience, strong commercial awareness, and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant technical environment.
• Proven experience in technical sales or business development.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
• Experience in crushing, screening, mining or heavy equipment (advantageous).
• Computer literate — Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• New Business Development — Develop new business opportunities within allocated territories
• Customer Prospecting — Identify and pursue new customers through proactive business development
• Cold Canvassing — Conduct cold canvassing in designated regions
• Relationship Building — Build long‑term relationships with new and existing customers
• Customer Presentations — Deliver professional presentations focused on value and operational solutions
• Capital Sales Growth — Grow capital equipment sales
• After‑Sales Support — Provide ongoing support to strengthen customer relationships
• Sales Reporting — Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates
• Commissioning Support — Support commissioning of new equipment where required
• Basic Fault‑Finding — Conduct basic fault‑finding when appropriate
• Operational Assessment — Assess customer requirements and recommend optimisation solutions
• Quotation Preparation — Prepare accurate quotations aligned to technical standards
• Solution Guidance — Guide customers in selecting suitable crushing and screening solutions
