Job summary

Cashbuild in Mhluzi, MP, South Africa is seeking a Sales Coordinator (internal applications only) to grow sales through constant customer interaction, prepare quotations from building plans, and ensure accurate pricing within set timeframes.

You will manage deliveries, support a high standard of customer service, maintain store standards, and oversee a team of assistants and drivers, applying safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus 5 years related experience or 10 years related work experience.
• Plan reading experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the area.
• Above average numeric skills.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate.
• Proven strong organising, planning and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales: issue and follow up quotations to generate sales; manage quote process and special orders.
• Read building plans and ensure quotations are correct within timeframes.
• Manage telephone and follow-ups; conduct competitor analysis for competitiveness of the store.
• Promote loyalty programs and communicate bulk deposit transfers to customers.
• Deliveries: ensure efficient delivery service, correct rates, on-time dispatch, and arrange alternatives for delays.
• Customer Service: manage the Customer Service Desk; record and resolve complaints; ensure effective service.
• Store Standards: manage Ready for Business checklists and planograms; implement price changes; maintain store presentation.
• People Management: ensure staff presence and backup, supervise General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers.
• Safety: enforce OHSA safety standards and PPE usage.
• Security Awareness: monitor for suspicious activity and ensure password security.
