Job summary

RMV Solutions in Northern Cape, South Africa, is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to identify new opportunities, grow market share and build lasting client relationships in safety solutions for mining, construction and petrochemical sectors.

You will create regional sales plans, develop leads, negotiate terms, and secure contracts while traveling extensively across the region.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Sales, business management or commercial qualification advantageous.
• 7–10 years experience in business development or related commercial role.
• Proven ability to generate new business and achieve sales targets.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Sound commercial and financial understanding.
• Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the allocated region.
• Develop and implement regional business development and sales plans.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling and events.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations and needs assessments.
• Develop commercially sound proposals and solutions.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
• Secure new contracts and achieve sales targets.
• Maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
• Monitor regional market trends and competitor activity.
• Maintain CRM data accuracy and provide reports.
