Job summary

MyCareerCraft in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage accurate and timely payroll processing for our clients, ensuring compliance with SA labour and tax legislation. You will maintain employee records, prepare payroll reports and liaise with HR and finance, while upholding strict confidentiality and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll management within South Africa.
• Knowledge of South African labour laws and tax regulations.
• Experience with payroll systems such as Sage 300, Pastel Payroll, Sage VIP, PaySpace, or SAP.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Relevant payroll or HR qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• 3 - 5 years process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SARS, UIF, SDL, and BCEA regulations.
• Maintain and reconcile employee records, leave, deductions, and benefits.
• Prepare payroll reports, tax submissions, and statutory filings.
• Liaise with HR and finance teams regarding payroll matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legislative changes.
