Placements24 is seeking a Community Engagement Officer for a rural development NGO based in Mahikeng, North West. You will represent the organization on the ground, build trust with residents, and facilitate the implementation of development projects.

The role focuses on engaging communities, coordinating outreach events, and working with local leaders and stakeholders to ensure initiatives are relevant, accessible, and sustainable, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive

Qualifications

• Experience in community development, social work, public relations, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively with rural communities and diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong understanding of socio-economic dynamics of rural areas in the North West.
• Ability to plan and execute community events and outreach activities.
• Proficiency in local languages is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to engage rural communities in programs.
