Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Engagement Officer for our Rustenburg, North West office. The role focuses on building trust with diverse communities, gathering feedback, and ensuring services meet local needs.

It is an on-site position requiring regular local interaction and travel within the Rustenburg area. The ideal candidate has a relevant degree or diploma in Social Sciences or related fields, with 4+ years in community engagement, and strong public speaking and facilitation

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 4 years in community engagement or outreach.
• Experience building relationships within diverse communities.
• Excellent public speaking, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of the North West region.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement comprehensive community engagement plans and outreach activities.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and public forums.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
• Gather feedback from the community on program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop communication materials, including newsletters, flyers, and social media content, to inform the community.
• Represent the organization at community events and local forums in Rustenburg.
• Identify and explore partnerships with other organizations to enhance service delivery.
• Monitor and report on the progress and impact of engagement initiatives.
• Manage community databases and ensure accurate record-keeping of interactions and feedback.
• Act as a primary point of contact for community inquiries and concerns.
