Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Community Engagement Facilitator for Mahikeng, North West, to build strong ties with local communities, organize meetings, workshops and outreach activities, and ensure diverse voices are heard in service delivery.

You will hold a relevant qualification in Community Development, Social Work or Public Administration, with at least two years’ experience in engagement or facilitation, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to empower residents and partners.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in community engagement or facilitation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate community engagement activities, meetings, and workshops.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community members and local organizations.
• Identify community needs through consultations and feedback mechanisms.
• Promote awareness of the organization's services and programs.
• Encourage participation in initiatives and support community-led projects.
• Document engagement activities and report on progress and outcomes.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and the community.
• Contribute to culturally appropriate engagement strategies.
• Address community concerns and facilitate constructive dialogue.
