Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment Limited in Stellenbosch, South Africa is seeking a Revenue & Reservations Supervisor to optimise profitability, manage reservations, and lead a guest-centric team. You will forecast revenue, supervise agents, and coordinate across channels to maximise occupancy and ADR.

Experience in a hotel setting, strong leadership, and Protel PMS knowledge are highly valued; preference given to locals from Franschhoek area.

Responsibilities

• Maximise revenue streams and systems for profitability.
• Create, interpret and forecast revenue reports when Revenue Manager is absent.
• Supervise, train, and coach reservation agents to maintain 95% service quality.
• Oversee bookings, blocks, amendments and cancellations across channels.
• Monitor room availability, rates and channel allocations to optimise ADR.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly pickup, forecast and no-show reports.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Sales on VIP arrivals and group lists.
• Maintain guest confidentiality.

Job description

Duties

• This role also ensures that all revenue streams and technical systems are optimised to ensure maximum profitability.
• Create, interpret and forecast revenue reports in absence of the Revenue Manager.
• Supervise, train, and coach reservation agents to maintain a 95% service quality benchmark and efficient call and email response times.
• Oversee daily processing of individual and group bookings, block arrangements, amendments, and cancellations across all channels.
• Monitor room availability, rates, and channel allocations (OTAs, GDS, direct) to optimise occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
• Group and conference quotes.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly pickup, forecasting, and no-show reports for management review in the absence of the Revenue Manager.
• Partner closely with the Front Office and Sales teams to communicate VIP arrivals, special guest requests, and group rooming lists.
• Guest confidentiality.

Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• A formal hospitality qualification
• Previous experience working as a Revenue and Reservations Supervisor in a Hotel environment.
• Protel PMS experience would be beneficial
