Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Zevenwacht Mall, Kuilriver store is seeking a Retail Store Assistant to support the overall management of the store and ensure daily operations align with policy. The role includes handling customer inquiries, stock queries, refunds, and cash handling in a fast-paced environment.

You will liaise with multiple departments, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a high level of customer service while following standard procedures and security practices.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook) and SAP experience.
• Retail experience in a store environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report all customer compliments and complaints to management.
• Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.
• Maintain effective external communication with customers when they require feedback.
• Assist customers with enquiries and refer to the appropriate departments.
• Adhere to the customer turnover per hour rate as per policy.
• Manage shorts and overs at point of sale and handle the floats.
• Manage refund and return transactions and ensure correct handling of returned goods.
• Verify and review deliveries and invoices for total accuracy.
• Support Receiving Manager with documentation and distribution centre claims.
• Control high risk stock and prepare daily reconciliation.
• Ensure cashiers have enough change and maintain float documentation.
• Maintain liaison between relevant parties and document control.
